چکیده

We consider distributed and dynamic caching of coded content at small base stations (SBSs) in an area served by a macro station (MBS). Specifically, is encoded using maximum distance separable code cached according to time-to-live (TTL) cache eviction policy, which allows packets be removed from the caches periodic times. Mobile users requesting particular download SBSs within communication range. If additional are required decode file, these downloaded MBS. formulate optimization problem that efficiently solved numerically, providing TTL policies minimizing overall network load. demonstrate can offer significant reductions terms load when request arrivals bursty. show how utilizing analyzed as specific single cache, convex problem. Our encompasses static special cases. prove that, interestingly, optimal under Poisson process, for has surprisingly simple solution.

Achieving Spatial Scalability for Coded Caching over Wireless Networks

The coded caching scheme proposed by Maddah-Ali and Niesen considers the delivery of files in a given content library to users through a deterministic error-free network where a common multicast message is sent to all users at a fixed rate, independent of the number of users. In order to apply this paradigm to a wireless network, it is important to make sure that the common multicast rate does ...

Coded Caching for Heterogeneous Wireless Networks with Multi-level Access

Content distribution networks, enabled through replicated caching, have enabled broadband content delivery over the wiredInternet. In this paper we propose a wireless content distribution scheme based on a new multi-level storage, access, and distributionarchitecture that is tailored for next generation wireless networks. This scheme significantly outperforms conventional translatio...

On the Coded Caching Delivery Design over Wireless Networks

Coded caching scheme is a promising technique to migrate the network burden in peak hours, which attains more prominent gains than the uncoded caching. The coded caching scheme can be classified into two types, namely, the centralized and the decentralized scheme, according to whether the placement procedures are carefully designed or operated at random. However, most of the previous analysis a...

Physical-Layer Schemes for Wireless Coded Caching

We investigate the potentials of applying the coded caching paradigm in wireless networks. In order to do this, we investigate physical layer schemes for downlink transmission from a multiantenna transmitter to several cache-enabled users. As the baseline scheme we consider employing coded caching on top of max-min fair multicasting, which is shown to be far from optimal at high SNR values. Our...

Dynamic Video Streaming in Caching-enabled Wireless Mobile Networks

Recent advances in software-defined mobile networks (SDMNs), in-network caching, and mobile edge computing (MEC) can have great effects on video services in next generation mobile networks. In this paper, we jointly consider SDMNs, innetwork caching, and MEC to enhance the video service in next generation mobile networks. With the objective of maximizing the mean measurement of video quality, a...
